Junior Science Quiz
This year's Junior Certificate Science Quiz was held by the Sligo branch on Monday, the 3rd May, in the Fr. Flanagan Hall, Summerhill College. Eighteen teams competed in the quiz which was held in memory of the late Eleanor Concannon. Mr. Tommy McManus, Chairperson of the Sligo ISTA branch, acted as quizmaster. Congratulations to each of the winning teams; 1st place; St. Mary's College, Ballisodare, 2nd Place; Coola Post Primary School, 3rd Place: Sligo Grammar School.

The Annual Junior Science Quiz for Junior Certificate students took place in Belvedere College on Wednesday 21st April at 2.30 - 4.30pm.

A talk entitled "Genetics and Breast Cancer" will be given by Prof. Mary Claire King in the Edmund Burke Theatre, TCD on Wed. 7th April at 7.0 p.m.

Dublin Branch AGM
Wesley College hosted the Dublin Branch AGM on Wednesday March 10th at 7.30pm. There was a tour of the new laboratories and Dave's Jungle was a guest presenter. Light refreshments were provided. Check out attachment below for collage of photos!
Junior Science Coursework B
Dr. Declan Kennedy gave a presentation on each of the Biology, Chemistry and Physics Coursework B activities for Junior Cert. Science 2010 on Thursday 25th February at 7.30pm in Kildare Education Centre. John Lucey ISTA National Chairperson was also be in attendance to update members on recent ISTA developments.
