Yvonne Higgins, ISTA Rep on the NCCA Junior Cycle Science development group, will give a presentation on the new Junior Cycle Science subject specification, on Tuesday, 4th November from 7-9pm. The JC Science subject specification is due to open for consultation on the 25th September, and will be available for viewing on the NCCA website after that date,

The Monaghan Branch are hosting a Junior Certificate Science "Magic Demonstration" presented by Mr. John Daly on Wednseday 8th October at 7:30pm in Loreto College, Cavan. A "materials pack" of bits and pieces will be presented to the first 15 teachers who register for this event.
Presentation on Light and Sound with over 30 demonstrations of key concepts.

The Galway Branch are holding a review of LC Biology, Chemistry or Physics marking scheme on Wednesday October 1st in NUI Galway Education Building on the main campus. This event will run from 7 - 9 pm. Please bring a copy of the relevant marking scheme with you.
The Kerry Branch will hold a discussion on the assessment and marking scheme of the Leaving Cert Chemistry exam on Wednesday, the 1st of October @ 8pm in the Education Centre Tralee. All welcome. Please confirm attendance by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
