The aim of Science Week (November 8th - 15th) is to promote the relevance of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) in our everyday lives and to demonstrate their importance to the future development of Irish society and to the economy.
The 34th annual ChemEd Ireland Conference will take place in UCC on Saturday 17th October 2015. The theme of the conference is Brilliant resources and Great Ideas for Teaching Leaving Certificate Chemistry.
There will be a meeting of the Galway Branch of the ISTA Thursday October 15th 7.30-9 pm in the CIMRU Building on Nun's Island (beside the Bish School). Three separate events will be held at the same time, LC Physics, Chemistry and Biology and dealing with problems in these subjects, particularly with exam answers.
A "Make & Take Night" will be held in Blackrock College on Wednesday 14th October at 7pm for Dublin Branch Members. The aim is to pick up new ideas in making lessons more hands-on and engaging.
