  1. If you are already a member of the ISTA, and have entered all your details online - Log in using your details in the box to the right. If already logged in click on the My Account link on the right. (Credit Card or Paypal required).
  2. If you are using the online system for the first time to join ISTA - Click here. (Credit Card or Paypal required).
  3. Corporate or Third-Level memberships, select the correct form: Corporate Form / Third Level Form.

ADVANTAGES OF MEMBERSHIP:

The ISTA is the largest and most active subject association in Ireland. It affords you an opportunity for Continuing Professional Development, which is important in Whole School Evaluations, Subject Inspections and Interviews.

As a member:

  • You will be part of the professional body of science teachers in Ireland.
  • You will receive 3 issues of the SCIENCE journal each year which contains numerous articles of interest to science teachers and will help to keep you informed of developments in science education, new syllabi and methodologies etc. 
  • You will be kept informed of all in-service events being organised by our association at local and national level.
  • You will receive various circulars to keep you up to date with various events happening in your local branch and at national and international level.
  • You will be entitled to a reduced course fee at the ISTA Annual Conference.
  • You may purchase resource materials (books, ISTA publications, scientific toys, etc) from the ISTA Bookshop at reduced rates. If you wish, you will receive information from other organisations associated with science education (e.g. science exhibitions, science competitions, etc)
