Debating Science Issues Final
Congratulations to all schools that participated in the Debating Science Issues sponsored by the Wellcome Trust. The final was held in the Science Gallery, Trinity College, Dublin on the 15th April. Winning team photograph from Our Lady and St. Patrick's School , Belfast: Fiona Knight, teacher and team speakers Ciara Mc Convey, Oonagh Mitchell, David Mc Shane and Luke Bowen.

Eureka Junior Science Quiz
Congratulations to St Gerard's College, Bray, Co Wicklow who won the Perpetual Cup for the Eureka Junior Science Quiz at Belvedere College.
UCD Summer Schools
On 8th & 9th June the UCD Science Summer School will open to 5th year students and on 10th & 11th June the Computer Science Summer School opens. Closing date Friday 23rd April or when places are filled.
RDS Science Live Demonstration Lecture Bursaries
The RDS has established a fund to provide bursaries to educators to develop science demonstration lectures for primary and secondary school students. Recipients are required to conduct the demonstration lecture as part of the RDS Science Live Demonstration Lecture series held at the RDS every October and November. Deadline for receipt of applications is Friday April 9th. For more details check out website www.rds.ie
