Nanotechnology Around Us

Nanotechnology is an emerging technology that exploits the peculiar properties of matter at the nanoscale. Some applications are around us already; some more will become available in the future.

This course will discuss the impact of nanotechnologies in everyday life and provide a selection of resources that teachers can use to bring this interesting topic to the classroom.

About the expert: Luisa Filiponi is an expert in nanotechnologies and conducts teacher training events both live (with laboratory, hands on activities) and online. She is the principal author of “Nanotechnologies: principles, applications, implications and hands-on activities- A compendium for educators” (EU Publication, 2012)

The Webinar for this DLA will take place either or the 17th or 18th November
