IOP Physics Hub on Thursday 23d February at 7 pm online, has Physics Padlet as the theme. We hear from Máire Duffy about how she uses Padlet to host a wide array of physics resources. She will explain what this online platform offers and how teachers might develop their own padlet for hosting their resources in an easily accessible way. Book now at: https://www.talkphysics.org/events/iop-ireland-physics-hub-70/ Newly qualified teachers and teachers of JC Science are especially welcome.

IOP Physics Hub on Thursday 9th February at 7 pm online. The theme is Astrophysics, which is the application of the laws of physics to everything that lies outside our planet. Concepts like Newton's law of universal gravitation, nuclear fusion, electromagnetic waves, Doppler shift, etc. learned in classrooms apply throughout the universe. Book now at: https://www.talkphysics.org/events/iop-ireland-physics-hub-69/ Newly qualified teachers and teachers of JC Science are especially welcome.

IOP Physics Hub on Thursday 2nd February at 7 pm online. The theme: Physics Olympiad. We look at some of the freely available resources to challenge even the ablest students of LC Physics. IOP Physics Hub on Thursday 26th January at 7 pm onlineShort clips of science fiction movies will be viewed and used to study the underlying physics at a level appropriate for Leaving Cert students. For example, Spiderman stops a runaway train and use it to learn about energy, force and Hooke's Law. Back to the Future to learn about Newton's Laws, and James Bond has a few things to teach us about specific latent heat and heat capacities. Book now at: https://www.talkphysics.org/events/iop-ireland-physics-hub-67/ Newly qualified teachers and teachers of JC Science are especially welcome.

IOP Physics Hub on Thursday 19th  January at 7 pm online. The topic will be Physics Diagram Editing. Finding the right physics diagram can take more time than editing one you already have. We look at how to use basic editing tools within Microsoft Paint which is free and probably on most laptops if they already have Word and Powerpoint.
Newly qualified teachers and teachers of JC Science are especially welcome.
