ISTA Senior Science Quizzes 2022
ISTA is delighted to announce the return of the Senior Science Quizzes, with regional rounds taking place in 13 venues around the country on Thursday, 17th November 2022 (during Science Week). Applications are now open for these events and teachers should complete the attached application form and send it, along with the relevant payment, to the contact listed for each venue. The rules of the event are included on the application form. Please note that no 5th Year or repeat students are allowed to compete. It is also important to stress that accompanying teachers must be members of the ISTA – teachers can renew their membership here.
Each venue will pose the same questions to the students (drawn from the Leaving Certificate Biology, Chemistry & Physics courses, as well as general science knowledge and news content) with the top teams from each regional event competing in the national final on Saturday, 3rd December 2022 at the TSBI building in Trinity College Dublin. Mark Langtry will act as Quiz Master again this year.
We are thankful for the continued support of BioPharmaChem Ireland in sponsoring this event. Teachers may find the questions from the 2018 event here, to give an indication of the style of questions.
