Leinster School scoops DSI All-Ireland Final 2011

St Vincent’s Secondary School, Dundalk, Co Louth are the All-Ireland winners of Debating Science Issues 2011. They managed to convince the judges that “animal testing is necessary for the advancement of disease treatment,” at the Final held in The Science Gallery in Trinity College on April 14th.

Debating Science Issues Final 2010

Congratulations to all schools that participated in the Debating Science Issues sponsored by the Wellcome Trust. The final was held in the Science Gallery, Trinity College, Dublin on the 15th April. Winning team photograph from Our Lady and St. Patrick’s School , Belfast: Fiona Knight, teacher and team speakers Ciara Mc Convey, Oonagh Mitchell, David Mc Shane and Luke Bowen.

The runners up were Clonakilty Community School, Co. Cork. Other Provincial winners were St. Attracta’s Community College, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo and St. Mary’s College Rathmines, Co. Dublin.
