THANKS TO ALL who participated and supported the annual ISTA Senior Science Quiz. The National Finals of the annual ISTA Senior Science Quiz took place in the Tercentenary Hall in Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute on Saturday 25th November. It was full to capacity with 50 teams of Leaving Certificate science students representing 22 counties from all around Ireland and their teachers. Almost 1100 Leaving Certificate students took part in the Regional Finals held during Science Week and 150 LC students were invited to the BioPharmaChemical Ireland sponsored National Final. The charity associated with the quiz this year was the Irish Kidney Association highlighting organ donation.

Once all the results are in those who qualified will be contacted early next week with an invitation to the National Final on Saturday 25th November at 2 pm in Trinity College, which is generously sponsored by BPCI. Dr Jennifer Cleary, from RTE Insiders, will act as the host this year.
There will also be spot prizes after each round in the National Final by all of the above organisations. The main cash prizes for the top 5 teams will be made by BioPharmaChemical Ireland - the main sponsor.
This year the chosen Charity associated with the Quiz is the Irish Kidney Association

The Regional Rounds of the ISTA Senior Science Quiz will take place on Thursday 16th November during Science Week in 14 venues nationwide. (Note two venues in Dublin this year so now Dublin schools can also send 3 teams).
This is a Members Only event. Membership can only be renewed online.
Qualifiers from the Regional Rounds will be invited to the Tercentenary Hall in Trinity Biomedical Science Institute on Saturday 25th November for the National Final which is sponsored by BioPharmaChemical Ireland.
This is the 25th Anniversary of the Quiz, founded by the late Dr. Shea Mullally.
