SciFest Virtual National Final

Winners announced: Congratulations to all the finalists!

The SciFest 2020 Virtual National Final will take place on a bespoke platform from Thursday 19th November to Saturday 21st November. There will be an opportunity to view the finalists’ projects, vote for your favourite project and test your scientific knowledge in daily competitions from Monday 16th November. The main programme will officially open on Thursday with a special guest speaker, Maya Ajmera, President and CEO at Society for Science & the Public and Publisher of Science News in the United States. This will be followed by Professor Shane O’Mara from the Trinity Institute of Neurosciences discussing the science of walking. Throughout Friday there will be a series of exciting STEM-related talks and presentations including an update on COVID-19 from Prof. Luke O’Neill. We are very honoured that Donegal’s own Nobel Laureate, Prof. William C Campbell has agreed to be interviewed by Dr Claire O’Connell at 7 pm.  The Awards Ceremony will take place at 2 pm on Saturday when the SciFest SFI STEM Champion 2020 will be announced.
